Short version: this is a simple blog. I don’t run accounts, comments, or tracking pixels, and I don’t sell your data — because I barely collect any.
What I collect
Newsletter email (only if you subscribe). The subscribe form on the homepage asks for your email address and nothing else. It’s handled by MailerLite, my email provider:
- You get a confirmation email first — you’re only subscribed after you click the link in it (double opt-in).
- Your address is used for one thing: sending you new-post updates.
- You can unsubscribe anytime with the link at the bottom of any email, which removes you from the list.
- MailerLite’s own privacy policy governs how they store and process that address.
Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like virtually every host, Cloudflare keeps basic technical logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. I don’t use them to identify you, and I don’t share them.
What I don’t collect: no user accounts, no comments, no analytics cookies at this time. If that changes (for example, if I add traffic analytics later), this page will be updated.
Affiliate links
Some posts contain affiliate links to retailers like Amazon. Clicking one takes you to that retailer’s site, and from that point their privacy policy applies — not mine. I never see your name, address, or payment details from those purchases.
See the Affiliate Disclosure page for how affiliate links work here.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Embedded third-party content (such as the newsletter form or, in the future, ads) may set their own — those are governed by the respective providers’ policies.
Your rights
Email me via the contact page and I’ll:
- tell you what personal data I hold about you (realistically: just your newsletter email, if you subscribed),
- delete it on request,
- stop emailing you immediately on unsubscribe.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the “last updated” date at the top will change with it.
